What a week!

The children have been exploring their creative sides in their painting lessons this week. Inspired by the Mexican self-portrait artist, Frida Kahlo, the children have learned how to accurately colour match an image by using tertiary colours. They even learned how to make grey without using black! The children have also experimented with the different effects and textures they can create by using their paintbrush and the thickness of their paint in different ways. Watch this space to see the amazing artwork they create next week.

Of course, the highlight of the week has to be Muddy Mayhem! The children had (literal) bucketfuls of fun traversing round the course on the school field - made even more exciting by the appearance of our local firefighting team. Smiles were seen all round as the children slipped, dived and sprinted through the mud. Thank you Mr Askew for putting on such a fun event once again.
